The Creators of the College Crash Course

Manuel Stefano Gomez Castaño

David Jesús Córdoba

Coming from a destitute background, I am consistently going against adversity. Yet, despite the degrees of hardship I have been subjected to, perseverance has kept me on my feet. With determination I diligently worked throughout my high school career to seek higher education. And fortunately, my fortitude proved to be effective by obtaining a scholarship to pursue college education. The blessing of going to college taught me that higher education is not impossible, but possible, and that with persistence, it is certainly attainable.

At my university, I am aspiring to major in Molecular Biology, as well as seeking certificates in Global Health & Health Policy, Latin American Studies, and French Language & Culture, while cultivating a career in the medical field. Outside of the classroom, I relish being a part of Princeton Latinos y Amigos (PLA), engaging with photography, and playing video games (sometimes you need a break!).

Being a part of the College Crash Course has been an incredible journey to giving back to my community. I only hope that through this project, high-achieving students in disadvantaged settings could gain the same blessing I did of having a college education. I insist that everyone peruse the resources of this website, whether a student or a parent, to bear fruit for the future.

Chelsea Patricia Espinosa

Hello! My name is Chelsea P. Espinosa. I am the daughter of two hard-working Colombian parents who immigrated to the United States to achieve the American Dream. This did not happen. My parents, especially my mother, showed my sister and I the beauty of education. It was a combination of pushing myself to my potential and my parents' infinite love and sacrifice that I am at an amazing university.

When I am not studying for molecular biology exam or in my professor's office asking for help on my computer science assignment, you can find me throwing a frisbee, volunteering for Meals on Wheels, or watching a movie with my roommates.

I hope you enjoy exploring the website. There is a wealth of information on the college process! As always, please let us know if you have any questions :)
